 Admission is only one can of food/person to help feed the hungry, homeless and less fortunate individuals through

  the Missoula / Bitterroot Food Banks.

Glacier Lake:  learn kayaking, canoeing, rafting and paddle boarding on our 90,000 gallon,

60’x100’ man made lake. Retailers and manufacturers will also be on hand to answer

any questions you may have after learning just how easy and exiting it is paddling.

Live Wildlife:  Raptors and other Montana Wildlife Display from all over the state will

be available for up close and personal engagement.


Fly Fishing: Guides/Outfitters and instructors will provide fly-fishing instruction on our 100ftx16ft fly-casting pond.


Wildlife Watching: tips and tricks to successfully viewing or photographing wildlife and different wildlife organizations


Archery: Learn the basics of shooting archery in the Archery Adventure.k ids and adults alike can learn archery for the first time.   With more advanced training being offered by Casey and the pros from
Straight 6 Archery under the same roof.                                   
 
If you are a seasoned archer you can compete against other archers for prize money with moving 3D targets provided byHigh Impact Archery. 
In case of equipment malfunction there will be archery vendors on hand to make repairs or get you started.

Catch and release/keep fishpond: Treat the whole family to the excitement of catching their first Rainbow Trout. After the catch, have it successfully cleaned, vacuum-sealed and we’ll send you home with a recipe. Or you can release it to share the first time excitement with another first time angler.

 Natural History Museum: Learn about Montana Wildlife through our Natural History Museum provided by local and regional taxidermists. Wildlife identification provided by the Montana Trappers Association through skins and skulls.

 Pan for Gold: Join the local chapter of the Gold Prospector’s Association of America.   As you try panning for and maybe finding gold in the gold salted soil they provide for your learning experience.

Hunting/Shooting Sports: Learn hunting/shooting skills from the local and national wildlife and local shooting organizations as well as the hunting and outdoor vendors at the

expo.
Chuck Wagon Cooking demonstrated by the American Chuck Wagon Association. Dutch oven cooking at it’s best. Providing real chuck wagons.

 Biking/ Hiking/Camping: Join the Missoula Parks and Recreation Team and test your skills at their Bicycle Roundup. They will also teach you about the local trails in and around Missoula for your hiking experience joined by local vendors, retailers, Montana State Parks and the Forest Service.

 Ice Fishing: demonstrations in the summertime? You bet, at the “Montana Outdoor Recreation Expo”.


LEARN INDIAN HERITAGE FROM OUR NATIVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS at the Multi-Nation Native American POW WOW including Educational Activities, Demonstrations and games.

Downhill /Cross Country Skiing : Tips, tricks and equipment from local and regional manufacturers, vendors and retailers.


Snow Mobiles/ Off-Highway Vehicles: Looking for a new ATV or snow mobile?  Local and regional vendors and retailers will be on hand with tips and available outdoor vehicles

for purchase.

 Conceal and Carry Classes: available through Legal Heat and   Black Dog Tactical.

Are you are looking for a new ride? Truck, ATV and Boating Retailers and Manufacturers will be there.

 Local law enforcement will be on hand, to hand out Project Child Safe Gun Locks.

 Montana Army National Guard is providing a climbing wall, inflatable obstacle course, inflatable canon and much, much more.
